Dy volleyball is a very intense and enthusiastic sport,If you don't love it or show your commitment towards the sport and your team then playing may not be for you.If you don't play then you can always sit in the stands and cheer the team on to victory. There are many people who play volleyball and they are divided up into three teams, varsity,J.V,and freshmen. All of these individual teams are very supportive of each other. They all watch each others' games.Freshmen play first while J.V and varsity watch.Next plays J.V while freshman and varsity watch, and after that J.V and freshman help the varsity team warm up and get ready for their game.At the next practice after a game the coaches always give out a small prize to the "player of the game",this means that they were the one who did the best they could possibly do all throughout the game and never gave up.Each team would have one "player of the game" for each game.Another prize that would be awarded to someone to did really good is a volleyball.A player would be given a volleyball if they made ten ,or more, serves over the net in a row.

Varsity
The varsity team is made up of mostly seniors and juniors, and once in a while a few sophmores and/or freshmen. The varsity volleyball team is the most serious of the three teams partly because this team is made up of the best volleyball players after, try-outs, in DY.Another reason that varsity volleyball is the most serious is that it's made up of seniors who will never be playing for the DY team again.
J.V
The J.V team is usually made up of mostly sophmores with some freshman. This team is the next serious after varsity because some of how the people on this team play will help determine wether or not they make the varsity team the for the following season. The people on this team, much like the varsity, stay comitted to their team win or loose.
Freshmen
The freshmen team obviously consists of only freshman. If you are on this team and you are exceptionaly good, you could possibly be moved up the the J.V team and play with them.If you aren't moved up you still get to play on the freshmen team and you may actually have more playing time than a freshmen player on the J.V team. This team isn't all about winning every game it's about developing skills that will be needed for anyone who considers playing again.Another point of this team is to just have fun because not all of the people Still on the freshmen team you want to try your best throughout the season because there are many freshmen who play on the team and unfortunately in the next season there isn't a spot for every girl. If you dont know how to play or the rules u can learn from scratch and get better and better!
